Long Range Multi-Purpose Camera
About
The fusion of our vast lens manufacturing technology and our cutting edge image processing technology cultivated in our digital cameras has resulted in our new SX camera series.
Wide Range of Uses
For Security
Border and port surveillance, construction site surveillance, etc.
Long range surveillance of many vital areas such as borders, harbors, maritime, airports and vital infrastructure facilities
- Possible to shoot small and fast moving targets such as drones using the ultra high speed AF
For Disaster Prevention
Detecting disasters such as forest fires, floods and eruptions.
- Take advantage of the telephoto performance to quickly confirm and monitor disasters such as forest fires, flood & eruptions from a safe & remote location
For Disaster Prevention
Wind turbine inspection & Transmission line inspection, etc.
- With the high operational accuracy, the inspection of objects can be made quickly & reliably
- Allows man hours to be reduced and improves safety of employees in certain cases
For Entertainment
Astronomical Observation
Taking advantage of the characteristics of the SX, a new image expression
- Provides a new expressive style in a wide range of “entertainment” fields such as long-range photography, astronomical observation, sports & sightseeing spots that are limited by conventional cameras.
Key Features
Super Telephoto
Surveillance, Inspection of high places and dangerous areas are also telephoto
The wide range of focal lengths including super telephoto makes the inspection of high altitudes or dangerous areas more safe versus conventional inspections conducted by people.
High-Performance Image Stabilization
Compatible for use on vehicles and in windy conditions
As you can see in the video, our high performance optical stabilization greatly reduces blurring in natural settings such as surveillance from a tower, inspections on the sea or monitoring a forest.
Shooting in the Dark
Supports nighttime surveilance and inspection
The SX can shoot an object in low light without an illuminator. Â When used with an illuminator the object can be seen even more clearly.
High-Speed AF System
Detect objects at high speed
High speed auto focus allows the SX to capture objects at a very high rate of speed. Â The camera is also equipped with continuing AF that tracks objects of interest.
Fog Reduction
Vivid correction with original image processing technology
When fog is present and making scenes challenging to see with the naked eye the SX series possesses unique technology that can easily cut through the fog and correct the scene. Â
Product Lineup
SX1600
New Model Born After the SX800
Longer range? No problem the new SX1600 covers a focal range from 40mm wide-angle to 1600mm on the telephoto side. Â The digital zoom allows you to cover a range up to 3200mm.
SX800
First Generation SX
The first generation SX camera covers a focal range from 20mm wide-angle to 800mm on the telephoto end. Â The digital zoom takes you all the way out to 1600mm.
FUJINON Lens Technology
Since their development in 1962 FUJINON lenses offer more than a half a century of technological development while earning an Emmy Award for Technology, one of the most prestigious awards given in the broadcast industry. Â The advanced lens manufacturing technology cultivated in that process is applied to the SX series. Â By making full use of precision processing technology that polishes the lens surface with nano-level accuracy. Â Mechanical design and assembly technology precisely arranges multiple lens groups and incorporates them into housings which produce ultra high definition images that have super telephoto range.
X Series Superior Imaging & Processing Technology
Fujifilm’s X Series digital cameras have provided the path for the way a digital camera should perform in order to achieve the highest image quality without missing a decisive moment. Â The advanced imaging and processing technology created in this series has been integrated into the SX series. Â This combination of technological advancements helps the SX series provide clear images in a wide range of environments required by industrial cameras. Â Shooting at telephoto ranges often provide challenges such as vibration on high altitude installations and atmospheric conditions such as heat haze or fog. Â The SX series corrects these conditions in real time using the most advanced correction algorithms and high speed processing engine.
Key Features
Super Telephoto
The SX800 covers a wide range of focal lengths, from 20mm wide-angle to 800mm telephoto (1600mm telephoto when using digital zoom), and SX1600 covers a wide range of focal lengths from 40mm wide-angle to 1600mm telephoto (3200mm telephoto when using digital zoom). You can choose a product with a suitable coverage range according to your application.
In addition, since the optical axis shift is suppressed, you can capture the target accurately while using super-telephoto.
High-Performance Image Stabilization
The combination of optical image stabilization (OIS) and electronic image stabilization (EIS) helps accurately compensate for image blur caused by the wind or vibration. The SX1600 coordinates and controls these to help compensate for a wider range of vibration frequencies.
Shooting in The Dark
The high-sensitivity sensor and high noise reduction effect enable you to shoot clear images with little noise even in low-light shooting environments.
High Speed AF System
The “rear focus system” that drives the small-diameter lens in the rear lens group at high speed is adopted, realizing high-speed AF with a minimum autofocus time of about 0.1 seconds. By combining the “image plane phase detection AF” and “contrast AF” methods, it automatically switches to the optimal AF setting.
Fog Reduction
Image processing technology compensates for heat haze caused by temperature differences in the air as well as fog caused by water droplets and dust floating in the air. Â This helps mitigate these atmospheric conditions to help achieve clearer images. Â The built-in visible cut filter “black glass” makes it possible to shoot with near-infrared light that travels in a straight line so you can achieve better images in the most challenging environments.
